Hi my name is Sara and and I am a mom of 3 adorable (sometimes debatable) children ages 5 and under. I was never one of those people who ever had to worry about their weight. I could eat what I wanted and always stayed thin, well that was until I had my first daughter 5 years ago. In my head I would have my daughter and bounce right back. I was that naive first time mom who ate for "two" and ended up gaining 42 pounds. One year after my first was born I still wasn't back to my pre pregnancy weight and was surprised to find out I was now pregnant with my son. I swore I would be better during this pregnancy but still managed to gain 37 pounds. Right before my son turned one I decided I needed exercise in my life and this was when I found Kim and her wonderful Zumba class. I was determined to get back in shape and lose the weight from my first two children. I was nervous to start Zumba especially on my own but I immediately felt welcomed and continued to go week after week turning it into my weekly routine. This quickly became my me time. I don't think there is ever a time I don't walk out happier than when I walked in.
Over the next two years I had my ups and downs with my weight but the one constant in my life was Zumba. In the winter of 2015 I found out I was pregnant with my third but I was also at my heaviest weight yet. I told myself this was going to be my healthiest pregnancy and set a weight goal of 25 pounds. I told Kim I was pregnant early on but that I planned to stay in class as long as I could and that's exactly what I did. Big belly and all I came week after week through broken air conditioners (sorry I totally hogged that all summer long), sore backs and contractions until 36 weeks pregnant. At 39 weeks and a weight gain of 25lbs my daughter was born and immediately I was anxious to get back to Zumba. I even asked the doctor while still in the hospital when I could go back.
Five weeks later I laced up my sneakers and I was back. Luckily I didn't miss to much. There were a few new routines and a few new faces ( Hi Tedi) but I was on mission to be back to my pre pregnancy weight from 5 years earlier. I had 40 lbs to go but knew I could do it. I quickly jumped back in to my weekly Zumba classes with Kim and altered my diet (bye bye soda and processed foods) and 7 months after my daughters birth I reached my goal. So here I am 40lbs lighter, happier and with a ton of new found energy. I could never have done it if I hadn't been brave enough to walk into Kim's studio 3 years earlier.

Hello, my name is Tedi and my life has been forever changed by Zumba. About a year ago I started my weight loss journey and being the stubborn, non-workout person that I was, I was determined to do it without exercise. About 6 months into my journey, and 40 pounds down, I hit a wall. Watching what I ate just wasn’t enough. I knew I needed to do something but I was scared that, honestly, I couldn’t do it. I had to find something I could stick with that didn’t feel like working out. I remembered a Zumba class I had taken once, and although it was hard, it was fun, so I thought I would do a quick search and find a class near me. Thank God for Google, because it led me to Blazin. I walked into that Tuesday night class, afraid and nervous, but that didn’t last long. Not only did Kim come right up and introduce herself, others in the class did too. They assured me I would love it, and once the music started, I did! Although the first class was hard, I loved the music and the dance steps and each time I went I got better. It has become a time where I can completely be myself, no judgements. It’s a time to celebrate my womanhood and feel sexy and confident. Needless to say, I became completely addicted. I now take classes on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday (Tuesday and Thursday double headers with Toning and regular Zumba). With the help of Kim and the whole Blazin crew I was not only able to reach by weight goal, but surpass it by 15 pounds. Within the 6 months I have been doing Zumba, I have lost an additional 40 pounds and gained more confidence then I could have ever hoped for. I went from a size 14 to a size 6 and I have muscles (never thought that would happen)! Zumba has shown me that working out does not have to be a chore, in fact, it can become something you look forward to.
Beyond the great music, fun dance moves (which are incredible!), and weight loss, the real reason I continue to go back to Blazin is because of the community. Kim has created such an exceptional judgment free zone. It felt like within a week of going I was a part of the family. You will not only gain a love for exercise, but you will gain relationships with some of the most incredible woman. I feel encouraged and reinvigorated every time I go. I am blessed to be a part of the group and look forward to you joining us soon. It doesn’t matter your size, age, or ability, as long as you can shake it!

My name is Stacey and I am addicted to Zumba! I started doing Zumba with Kim at BlaZIN back in
June 2012. I had my second child just six months earlier and my body was in a post baby slump! I decided it was time to become healthy and I went to one of Kim's classes and immediately became hooked. Getting involved with Zumba has been a life changing journey for me! It's not just exercise... It's FUN! I absolutely LOVE being in her classes, right in the front row, expressing myself though the awesome music and moves! It's such a rush of enjoyment and energy. I always feel so happy and
care free once class ends.. It's a huge mood uplifter! I go to Zumba classes three times a week and do Zumba toning as well. I really try not to miss any, but if I do, I always make time for some Zumba in my basement at home! Zumba at BlaZIN has also become a social outlet for me and I have become apart of a very special Zumba family, whom I look forward to seeing each time I go! Since June, through a combination of eating healthier and doing Zumba, I have lost over 40 pounds and counting! For me it has not just been the changing number on the scale, but my physical appearance and how I feel about the "new me" that I see in the mirror! I am much more comfortable with myself and love that I can wear smaller sizes (I've dropped down 2, going on 3 pants sizes!) and shop at the stores I love! When I think back to June and compare to now, my endurance at Zumba has greatly increased, I don't get out of breath like I first did and I even take a lot of the moves up to a higher energy level!! I put my ALL into my Zumba workouts and feel so rewarded each and every time!! I don't know where I would be without Zumba!! It has really become a special part of my life that I truly treasure!! Thank you Kim for sharing your love of Zumba with me and your amazing talent as an instructor! You have been a huge influence and motivator for me in my journey and I am forever grateful and could never thank you enough!

Hi-I'm Carol & Zumba is the greatest thing since sliced bread! April 2012, I joined Jenny Craig-my weight was out of control. Within the month, I was turned on to Zumba. Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks to BlaZIN & everyone there, I have lost 42 lbs & 2 sizes & feel wonderful. The combo of eating right & Zumba did it for me. Now I'm addicted.....my left hip is bone-on-bone & walking far is not an option. However, I can certainly do Zumba 2-3 times weekly! So, for anyone who thinks they can't, due to physical problems-you're wrong, YOU CAN! Just adjust your workout accordingly. Doing Zumba also helped lower my blood pressure. My doctor was able to take me off 1 of my meds!! I have made many new friends at BlaZIN & I am having FUN-wouldn't stop for anything. Hoping to see new faces.......................
